When will Highway 21 in Port Wentworth Reopen to Traffic?

From The Georgia Department of Transportation: 

Cleanup efforts are currently underway for State Route 21 near Savannah Hilton Head International Airport where a Puerto Rico Air National Guard WC-130H “Hercules” cargo aircraft crashed May 2.Wreckage from the aircraft has been removed from the crash site and transported to a secure holding facility at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina.“The Air National Guard is committed to restoring State Route 21 and the surrounding areas affected by the crash of the WC-130 aircraft,” said U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Matthew Brennan, recovery operations chief. “Until environmental analysis is complete, an estimated time to reopen the State Route 21 is not available.”The Air National Guard has provided funds to the United States Army Corps of Engineers to execute a Rapid Response contract for the restoration and repair to the impacted areas.A contract has not yet been awarded but will include environmental analysis, environmental restoration, and repairs to State Route 21The impacted sections of State Route 21 will remain closed for the duration of the restoration and repair work.\Cause of the crash is under investigation by the Safety Investigation Board and no other details are available at this time.
