Vicki and Dickie Dever are raising their six grandchildren. The kids' ages range from 2 to 14 years old.
The Devers' old van was unreliable and couldn't fit the whole family, but they couldn't afford to buy another.
"It's a seven-passenger van, we have eight people, our van is on its last leg, it has been for quite some time," Vicki Dever said.
Church of the Crossroads in Mt. Washington heard about the family's struggles.
The church took up an offering and in one service, raised more than $15,000 to buy the van.
"Being able to bless them and see those kids climb around the van and see those grandparents smile knowing that life is maybe going to be a little easier for them to get around and the kids where they need to go, I mean it means the world," John Parkey, lead minister at Church of the Crossroads, said.
