A video of an Amazon Echo speaker saying Michael Jackson is alive has sent the conspiracy world into a frenzy. In a YouTube clip a man asks, “Alexa, do you know if Michael Jackson is still alive?” She replies, “Yes, as far as I know, Michael Jackson is alive. He’s 60 years old.” The footage was first posted in December 2018 but has gone viral again as we approach the June 25 tenth anniversary of Michael’s death.
… Many viewers of the video say in the comments that they believe what Alexa is telling them.
… A spokesperson for Amazon says, “I’ve checked and this isn’t the answer that Alexa gives to this question so it looks as though the person in the video may have created an Alexa Skill Blueprint where you can personalize answers using the Q&A template.”
