Pennsylvania toy company responds to requests to make female toy soldiers

A Pennsylvania toy company says it's making plastic female toy soldiers thanks to requests from female veterans, toy fans, and a persuasive letter from a six-year-old girl. The new troops will be female versions of the classic "Plastic Army Men" that have fought countless battles over the decades in children's bedrooms, classrooms and back yards. BMC Toys owner Jeff Imel was persuaded by a retired female sailor and six-year-old Vivian Lord, who wrote a letter requesting the little green women. The female plastic troops are expected to be deployed next year in time for Christmas
