Arby's apologizes for sign saying only well behaved children are welcome

Arby's has issued an apology after a Minnesota mother of five posted about a sign on a local outlet of the fast food chain that said only, quote, "well behaved children" were welcome. Christine Hemsworth wrote on Facebook about the sign, saying she hesitated at the door of the Arby's in the town of Elk River when she saw it because she was with her two-year-old. It said only, quote, "well behaved children who can keep their food on their trays and their bottoms on their seats" were welcome, adding, "If you can't do this, you will be asked to leave." Hemsworth went in anyway and there were no problems, but she called the experience "uncomfortable and stressful," because her son can be a little messy and sometimes does stand up in his seat. She got a mixed response to her post, with some commenters taking each side of the issue, but Arby's apologized, saying in a statement, "We recognize the language on this sign was insensitive. We removed it quickly, and have disciplined the manager and team working at the restaurant."
