A woman from Indianapolis received a kidney from a complete stranger who rode on her husband's tour bus. Joyce Smith decided to donate the organ to Valerie Scott after taking a tour on Rex Scott's Brew Tour bus. Scott made an offhand joke about needing a kidney while giving a tour in August. Smith, who was with a bachelorette party, had just spent months to become a viable donor for a friend who was not healthy enough to receive it. For seven years, Valerie has dealt with polycystic kidney disease. Her kidneys are now the size of small footballs, still growing but losing function. The transplant took place in late January and both women are doing well
