A 24-year-old man Texas was sentenced to 30 days in jail Wednesday (March 4th) for taking an ice cream container from the freezer at a Port Arthur Walmart, opening it and licking the top of the ice cream, and then putting it back. D'Adrien Anderson posted video on social media that went viral of him doing it last August. Anderson was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $1,565 in restitution to Blue Bell Creameries, which had to replace all its ice cream in the freezer. Surveillance video showed Anderson actually went on to buy the ice cream, which wasn't seen in the social media video. He could have been sentenced to up to a year in jail for misdemeanor criminal mischief.
