Steven Prawl never spends more than he has to. Yet, he traveled 1,600 miles and dropped $900 to save an abused dog. Prawl is a financial planner in Florida. He recently received a text from his mom in Nebraska showing a a dog she was thinking of adopting from a shelter near her. The dog had been rescued after being abused. Prawl’s mom decided she wouldn’t be able to care for the dog after all. But Prawl couldn’t let the dog go. So, he flew from Florida to Kearney, Nebraska, and adopted “Sonny”. Then the pair drove back to Florida. Total cost of the trip was $900, and now Sonny spends his days hanging out with Prawl at his office.
