A tiger from the Bronx Zoo in New York City has tested positive for coronavirus.

Officials revealed the info Sunday after the 4 year old female developed a dry cough. Three other tigers and three African lions also had similar symptoms.

The Zoo has been closed since March 15.

The National Veterinary Services Lab confirmed the tiger's case. A statement from the zoo's chief veterinarian said "we tested the cat out of an abundance of caution and aimed to contribute to the world's understanding of the novel coronavirus."

The animals are expected to recover.
