They say dogs are man’s best friend, and it’s apparently true for at least one man. Tennessee businessman Bill Dorris died late last year, and the 84-year-old left $5 million to his eight-year-old border collie, Lulu. Dorris’ friend, Martha Burton, had already been watching Lulu for several years by the time he passed away. The will specifies that $5 million is to be placed in a trust to provide for Lulu’s care, and that the dog will remain with Burton. Burton is to be reimbursed for normal monthly expenses as approved by a conservator managing the trust.
