A dog is recovering after she was chained to the back of a vehicle and dragged more than 100 yards, leaving her with severe abrasions on her legs, stomach and chin. A Facebook post from Animal Charity of Ohio says witnesses saw the dog, named Oreo, being dragged behind the car Sunday at about 35 mph. The agency says witnesses who saw it happening turned around and stopped the vehicle. However, the dog was then chained in the backyard of a residence. Police were called to the scene, along with a humane agent from Animal Charity of Ohio. The agent removed the dog from the residence and charges are pending.

… Oreo suffered at least two broken toes on each paw and all of her paws were degloved, the rear ones severely. She had road rash on her abdomen, which caused much bleeding, and broken nails and abrasions on her legs. However, the group said this week that Oreo is recovering.
