KITTENS BORN IN A COCKPIT AT A NORTH CAROLINA AVIATION MUSEUM

Here’s a sweet story for fans of cats and military planes. Bill Falls, a caretaker at the Hickory, North Carolina, Aviation Museum, heard something out of place. He followed the sound and was surprised to find someone in the cockpit of a jet trainer. When he peered inside, he saw a furry head pop up. Then another, and another. He spotted five kittens, who were apparently born in the aircraft. The mom is Phantom, a stray cat that lives at the museum. They decided to let the kittens stay in the jet trainer for six weeks before taking them to the local humane society. The kittens were named Prowler, Hornet, Mohawk, Corsair, and Falcon — names of various jets.
