"AMERICA'S GOT TALENT EXTREME" CONTESTANT SUES NBC OVER STUNT GONE WRONG

Did you see this one? (If not the video is below.) Jonathan Goodwin, a contestant on America’s Got Talent: Extreme, is suing NBC over a stunt that went terribly wrong, resulting in paraplegia. In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Goodwin alleges that NBC and the producers prioritized the show’s ratings over safety, leading to contestants participating in dangerous stunts with inadequate safety measures. Goodwin claims that the show controlled and interfered with the safe execution of the stunts.

… During a rehearsal at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Goodwin suffered catastrophic injuries, including a dislocated spinal cord, the loss of a kidney, third-degree burns, and fractures in his legs, ribs, and shoulders. Video footage of the incident shows Goodwin suspended in the air, attempting to free himself from a straightjacket before two swinging cars collided, sandwiching him in midair.
