Johnny Cash and June Carter just rooms apart at an Alabama hospital

Talk about coincidence: two babies born hours apart at an Alabama hospital to families who didn't even know each other. And what did they name their babies? The boy is Johnny Cash, the girl is June Carter.

Moms Sophie Clark and Nicole Davis each gave birth on April 10 at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children in Alabama. Clark, 22, welcomed her daughter June Carter Clark at 2:30 p.m. and that night at 9:50 p.m., Davis and her husband welcomed their son Johnny Cash Davis.

When the family discovered that their babies shared a common bond, they ultimately decided the coincidence was worthy of a joint photo in the hospital.

According to photographer Chantel Miller they had all connected after she, a self-described "huge Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash fan" saw a news story about the two families and left a comment on a social media post about it.

"I was absolutely enamored with the thought of these two babies being photographed together. I had commented on the story about how as a newborn photographer it would be a chance of a lifetime to photograph these babies; and out of thousands of comments Sophie happened to read mine," Miller said.

The resulting photos of baby Johnny and baby June, amid music-themed backdrops and props, were, as Davis put it, "epic!"

After both couples left the hospital, they became friends on Facebook and continue to keep in touch — so much so that, on May 4, they got baby June and Johnny together for another, more professional photoshoot.
