President Trump spent years closely following TV ratings when he was on The Apprentice, and he apparently still keeps an eye on them in the White House, with the The New York Times reporting that he called Roseanne Barr yesterday evening (March 28th) to congratulate her on the big ratings for the first episode of the return of her sitcom Roseanne the night before. Barr is herself a vocal supporter of Trump, and there was a lot of media attention ahead of her show's revival on the fact that her TV character would also be a Trump supporter. The premiere focused on the feud between Roseanne and her Trump-hating sister Jackie, who hadn't spoken since after the 2016 election because of their clash over the president.
