This is message is to notify you that power, lights, and air conditioning are fully functional at both Port Wentworth Elementary and Rice Creek School. Internet and phone connectivity are still down as a result of the plane crash on Hwy. 21 near Gulfstream Road.
Both schools are safe and continue to operate on their regular schedule with the exception of afterschool activities at Rice Creek School. All afterschool activities at Rice Creek, including tutorial, have been canceled for today. Pryme Tyme programs WILL operate at both schools this afternoon on their regular schedule.
In addition, the SCCPSS Transportation Department has assessed the road closures in the area and has determined that there will be no delays to transportation this afternoon.
