Joy Behar ended up in hospital after stabbing herself in the hand with a knife.
The 75-year-old talk show host, 75, who was absent from The View on Monday, returned to work on Tuesday and revealed she had accidentally sliced into herself when chopping into an avocado.
She said: "Saturday night, on my way to the event at the retreat, I stabbed myself in the hand with a knife.
“I was trying to desperately eat something, so I was trying to open up an avocado and I stuck the knife into the pit to get it out … and I stabbed myself,” she went on.
She said she'd "never had pain quite so intense, it was awful.”
