After a man from California lost an envelope with $1,000 inside, Highway Patrol cops heard about the fiasco and stepped in to do something. The man intended to use the funds to buy gifts for needy children in the area. As Steve Carapia of the California Highway Patrol said, “A young man from San Bernardino trying to do good in his community and I thought that was just great.” While nobody was able to hunt down the missing envelope, the police officers presented the man with a $1,000 gift card to Walmart so he could still bring Christmas to underprivileged children as he planned.
