"The Glorias: A Life on the Road"
The upcoming feature film The Glorias: A Life on the Road , starring Julianne Moore , Alicia Vikander, and Lulu Wilson, is currently being filmed in Savannah. It is based on Gloria Steinem’s memoir. It follows her journey to become a crusader for equal rights and her groundbreaking work as a journalist and campaigner. Bette Midler also stars as activist, lawyer and politician Bella Abzug, who along with other feminists such as Steinem, Shirley Chisholm and Betty Friedan founded the National Women’s Political Caucus. Janelle Monae stars as Dorothy Pitman Hughes.
