If you're tired of fighting over armrests on a flight and you're willing to pay more for a seat, there's some good news. Ireland-based airline Aer Lingus is introducing a brand new fare that guarantees an aisle or window seat in the first row of the aircraft, with the middle seat left empty for a "roomier and more efficient travel experience." They're calling this "AerSpace," and consider it a "premium travel experience" on its short-haul flights between Dublin and the UK and Europe. The new fares will be available for flights beginning on September 1st, 2019, and appear to be about three to four times the cost of a standard economy ticket. For the money, you'll also get a reserved overhead bin directly above the seat, lounge access, fast track security priority board and on-board refreshments.
