_ A dog who spent 400 days at a Kansas animal shelter now has a forever home — exactly a week after a man moved into her kennel and vowed to live there until the pup was adopted. Animal advocate Scott Poore — who had been staying with 3-year-old terrier mix Queen in her 10-by-7 quarters since September 17 — walked his “roommate” out of the Great Plains SPCA in Merriam and into her new owner’s car Tuesday as people cheered and threw confetti.
