Isla Glaser, who is four years old, has greater presence of mind that many grownups. When her mom, Haley Glaser, collapsed, Isla called 911 in Franklin Township, New Jersey, explained the problem, gave her address, and took care of her three younger siblings while waiting for help to arrive. When the paramedics arrived, she shooed the family dogs out of the way and led them in. Her mom is in the hospital recovering from a bacterial infection. The township police department has awarded Isla a badge as an honorary police officer.
