Larry David, co-creator of "Seinfeld" (and the inspiration behind the character of George Costanza) ended his tenth season on HBO's successful hit show "Curb Your Enthusiasm" last night.
It's clear from watching the show that George is very much alive and well in Larry's on screen characterization. This season he got mad at Mocha Joe, Larry's go-to place for coffee and scones, because the coffee (he said) was always cold and the tables were wobbly. Because Joe didn't seem to care, Larry took advantage of the available real estate right next door, and opened Latte Larry, and fireworks (literally) ensued.
On the way to the finale, he was sued for sexual harrassment, put a wedge between an interracial couple, and continued to be the proverbial thorn in the side of Susie Green.
It was a wonderful diversersion from the news of the day, but the sad thing is that the series comes to an end just when we can use more diversion. Larry, come back, we need you.
Hopefully there will be a season 11, but not anytime soon. :(
