A British couple has experienced a welcome change of luck, winning more than a million dollars in the National Lottery one day after one of the pair was laid off. David and Shelley Adams, of Chipping Norton, became instant millionaires playing the lottery online. David had just lost his job as a wood machinist. Shelley has had to stop working after an MS diagnosis. Their immediate plans include a new car and a first-class flight to Canada to visit friends.
