Waitress surprised with a car for work commute from regular customers

We all know how the onset of the pandemic affected businesses and in particular restaurants and their staffs. Well when it rains it pours. Lisa Mollet is a waitress at the Empire Diner in Brooklawn, she weathered a difficult year. She was not working from March until June. Then when she got to return, her car broke down. That meant using Uber to get to and from but that also cut into whatever money and tips she made. A pair of regular customers at a New Jersey diner surprised their favorite waitress with an unusual tip -- a car. Lisa Ayala and Jason Medina, regulars at the Empire Diner in Brooklawn, gave their 2006 Nissan Altima to their favorite server, Lisa Mollett, as the tip for their Sunday meal. Mollett, who has been serving the couple for about two years, said she broke down into tears. Ayala and Medina bought the Altima years ago, but hadn't used it much lately after they both got new cars. They remembered Mollett telling them about her recent car troubles, and they wanted to do something nice for her, after she recently returned to work after being laid off for three months because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Thanks to some generous people Lisa will get to ride to work in style! Watch: click here
