The President Issues a Pardon to Corn And Cob, The Thanksgiving Turkeys

President Trump spared two turkeys named Corn and Cob during the annual turkey pardon in the White House Rose Garden yesterday (November 24th). Trump was joined by First Lady Melania Trump as he granted clemency to the birds presented by the National Turkey Federation. Corn was actually declared the national Thanksgiving turkey, but both will spend the rest of their lives at a new home on the campus of Iowa State University. Trump spoke at one point during his remarks about the recent optimistic news about coronavirus vaccines, saying, "We give thanks for the vaccines and therapies that will soon end the pandemic."
