Police called about a suspicious beeping package--it's a smoke detector!!

What would you do if you found a beeping package in a park? Back on September 9th, someone reported a beeping package that had been left in Crichton McCormick Park in Portage, Pennsylvania. The park was evacuated, and the Pennsylvania State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives Section (HDES) was called in. The officers found the box contained a single smoke detector. The incident remains under investigation, and police ask anyone with information to contact them.
