Proposed bill would require vaccine or negative test to fly domestically

Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation earlier this week that would require Covid-19 vaccination, a negative Covid test, or full recovery from Covid to take a domestic flight. This comes after Democratic Rep. Don Beyer introduced similar legislation earlier this month that would require proof of vaccination or a negative test for flights and for travelers on Amtrak. Feinstein noted that the U.S. already requires those flying into the country to show a negative test, and starting next month as restrictions on travel from 33 countries end, a vaccine and negative test will be required. Airline leaders, however, have been opposed to requiring vaccines for domestic travelers, saying it would be "logistically impractical" and "incredibly cumbersome."
