Matt Patches followed through and ate his shoe. Patches, deputy entertainment editor at Polygon, tweeted on October 26, 2010 that he would eat his shoe if the long-discussed Top Gun sequel ever got made. He was held to this Mike Ryan, senior entertainment editor at Uproxx.
