TEENS RESCUED AFTER ROLLER COASTER STALLS 65-FEET IN THE AIR

This is not how most people would want to spend their birthday party. Four teens celebrating a birthday were riding the Crazy Dane Coaster at the Scandia Fun Center in North Highlands, California when the roller coaster stalled mid-ride, leaving them trapped 65 feet in the air on November 21st. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to the scene and used an extendable aerial ladder to rescue the teens from an upper track about three-stories high. It’s not clear what caused the ride to suddenly stop. One of the riders said, “I do not recommend it. It was a bad experience.” The park reportedly apologized to the teens by offering them free slushies.
