How a Virginia prisoner saved a deputy's life--and was rewarded for it

 Deputy Robert Rensch, a jailer at the Chesapeake, Virginia, Corrections Center, was eating a sandwich when an inmate jumped him. It’s a good thing: Rensch was choking to death on his meal, and inmate Curtis Harrell noticed his distress. He saved Rensch’s life. For his heroism, Harrell received the sheriff’s office Citizen’s Service Award. Here's the story as some local TV stations reported it.
