A Florida rescue took in Dutchess back in December and hoped for a good home. But people on Facebook posted horrible comments about how ugly she was because of some congenital deformities under her eyes.
Now that dog has found a forever family and her new name is Lena.
Lena, previously known as Dutchess, a cur mix, arrived at Orange County Animal Services over the holiday season.
Since settling into her forever home, Lena has graduated from a level one doggie training class and is on her way to level two training followed by a good canine citizen class.
Her new family described her as “the sweetest dog they have ever met,” but admit she still causes some trouble.
