A cow is leaving the big city for open spaces and a new chance at life! After escaping from outside of a slaughterhouse in Brooklyn, the young black cow ran loose through the streets.
"The people from the slaughterhouse, they were trying to lasso it and get it into the truck, but she was feisty, she didn't want to go," Vincent Fontana of Original Pizza said.
After the cow was wrangled, Mike Stura of Skylands Animal Sanctuary in New Jersey offered to give the calf a new home. The slaughterhouse agreed, and the calf's story has a happy ending.
"I think she deserves it. I think she earned it," Fontana said.
