Florida man says American Airlines wanted $2 billion to change his flight!

These fees are out of control! Shaun Walker was trying to change his American Airlines flight from Seattle to Palm Beach, and he was stunned at the change fee: 2.1 billion dollars.

Walker tweeted a screenshot of the screen, which shows a layover in Dallas and a cost of $2,147,483,647 dollars. The Florida man, who lives in a town called Jupiter, pondered: "Maybe American Airlines thought I wanted to fly to the planet Jupiter."

"I think they want you to buy the airline," one commenter replied.

American Airlines has not yet replied publicly.

Walker in another tweet referenced Elon Musk’s space exploration company.

‘Perhaps American Airlines is now partnering with SpaceX,’ Walker wrote.

The screenshot with the two American Airlines flight change options also had a link to ‘give your feedback to help us make improvements’.

Information Technology professional Thomas LaRock replied in Walker’s thread, ‘I think they want you to buy the airline.’
