FLORIDA COP FIRED AND JAILED FOR UNUSUAL CREDIT CARD THEFT

Florida (Osceola County) investigators determined that Dianne Ferreira went to the home of someone who died, took photos of the deceased’s credit cards, and used that information to charge about $450 worth of fuel, meals, and a hotel stay. The charges started the next day. Ferreira was booked into jail for fraud. When investigators interviewed her, Ferreira allegedly confessed, and was fired — she was at the scene as a police officer to investigate the death.
