Sheriff's deputies used a long rope to rescue a bear locked in a car

Authorities in Nevada managed to save a bear from suffocating inside a car using a rope to pry the car’s door handle open. The deputies managed to keep a “safe distance” from the bear trapped in a car using the rope and watch the frazzled burglar scurry off into the forest once it managed to escape. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office used the incident as a reminder to locals that food should not be left inside cars because the scent draws in hungry bears.
