SC fireman rescues puppy trapped under concrete--and falls in love with him

Stuck under a pile of concrete and dirt, Rocky, a scared puppy, desperately needed help, not knowing that he would get so much more that day! Alone in the darkness of a hole he was trapped in, this puppy saw a friendly hand reaching out for him – and it was that particular moment when he knew that everything from now on would be okay!

A family who was riding their bikes that day in South Carolina spotted Rocky yelping under concrete. They were shocked to see a helpless pup struggling, so they immediately called 9-1-1. North Charleston Fire Department and police responded, but when they arrived at the spot, they realized that the hole leading to Rocky was just too small. Captain Paul Bryant came up with another idea!

He took a shovel and started digging in order to create enough space to pull the scared puppy out safely. After only a few minutes of digging, Bryant somehow managed to coax Rocky close enough, grab his front paws, and eventually pull him out! He was taken to the shelter for a microchip check but he had none.

After he heard that the dog had no family whatsoever, Bryant did the most amazing thing ever! He went straight to the facility and applied for Rocky, as he was just head-over-heels in love with him from the moment he saw him! Bryant got a positive answer from the shelter and was about to take Rocky to his forever home – for the first time ever!

Rocky loves to spend time with his dad, play fetch, and enjoy long walks in nature… and even though he’s a big boy now, he has never stopped giving the cutest kisses to his best hooman in the world!
