She says her dentist did 8 crowns, 4 root canals, & 20 fillings in 5 hours

When I was much younger I remember going to a new neighborhood dentist who claimed I had 17 cavities. I told my mother "could that be right?" I never found out--I still believe he was lying, but at least my experience wasn't as bad as what happened to Kathleen Wilson.

Minnesota dentist Dr. Kevin Molldrem is facing a lawsuit from her, who claims he performed an excessive number of dental procedures in just one visit, leaving her in distress and disfigured. According to Wilson’s affidavit, Molldrem conducted eight dental crowns, four root canals, and 20 fillings in a five-and-a-half-hour span in July 2020.

… As a result, Wilson was left in pain and had to seek help from other dentists to fix Molldrem’s alleged mistakes. She also accuses him of overusing anesthesia and falsifying her medical records to avoid responsibility.

… The lawsuit, seeking a minimum of $50,000 in damages, has the support of an expert Florida dentist who reviewed Wilson’s case and criticized Molldrem’s treatment, stating that attempting to address all of Wilson’s dental issues in one visit was not only inappropriate but also impossible to do effectively.

… Wilson eventually received proper treatment from the University of Minnesota Dental School.
