Police in Oregon responded to a report of a possible hand grenade near Patton Middle School, only to find it was a dog poop bag dispenser. The McMinnville Police Department used a drone to closely inspect the object, which was away from school buildings, and determined it was designed to resemble a hand grenade.
After confirming it was a harmless item, the dispenser was removed from the school property, and normal activities resumed. Students had been kept inside during the investigation, which involved consultation with the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad.
