A Utah Highway Patrol trooper came to the rescue of three dogs spotted running loose on a busy stretch of freeway. He was driving near Salt Lake City, when he spotted three dogs running loose in the road.
The trooper followed the dogs on the road for a time before he and a bystander were able to coax them into his patrol car.
The dogs were taken to Salt Lake County Animal Services, which shared a photo of the three dogs in the back of the trooper's car. Animal services officials said in a Facebook post that they are trying to locate the owner or owners of the three dogs.
"As a friendly reminder, it's always important to have a collar with identification tags and a microchip with up-to-date contact information for your furry companions," the post said.
