Who is eating the marijuana inside the New Orleans Police evidence room?

Rats ate marijuana being kept in the New Orleans Police Department's evidence room, officials report.

"The rats are eating our marijuana,” Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said. "They're all high."

The consumption of evidence could spell trouble for criminal cases, as the rats pose a contamination issue. Problems at the headquarters have been ongoing since Hurricane Katrina flooded the city in 2005.

Police hope to move to a new, less-infested headquarters in May.
