Mariska Hargitay assisted a lost girl during a Law & Order: SVU shoot in New York City. The young girl approached Hargitay, mistaking her for a real NYPD cop due to her character’s police badge, seeking help to find her mother. Hargitay paused filming to aid the child in reuniting with her mother, spending 20 minutes with them. This incident occurred during an outdoor shoot at Anne Loftus Playground in Fort Tryon Park.
