TEXAS MOM LEAVES YOUNG KIDS HOME ALONE WHILE SHE GOES ON A CRUISE

A Texas woman left her two young children alone in their Houston apartment while she went on a cruise. The children, eight and six, were discovered by neighbors in a disarrayed and unsanitary state. The mother (Lakesha Woods Williams) had allegedly left on April 4 and did not return, prompting concerned neighbors to call the police. The children stated that their mother had left for a vacation without specifying her return date. Williams had set up a webcam to monitor and communicate with the children remotely while she was away. Following a court hearing, Williams was charged with felony child abandonment and taken into custody.
