During a CBS interview, Gayle King said what many Lenny Kravitz fans probably have in mind and then snuck in a silly, flirty question to the musician about his love life.
“Asking for a friend, is there love in your life right now? Do you have a significant other in your life?” she started before asking with a laugh: “And can I beat her ass if she is?”
Kravitz laughed at the question, only responding, “Wow!” King then added, “Oops, did I say that out loud? And I’m non-violent Lenny Kravitz!” His answer?
“When you desire something, you’re looking for it. I find that when you don’t look, you find it,” he said. “I’m at a place where — I’ve said this for several years — I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready. I wasn’t ready, right?
