New Yorker Tried To Flush Snake But Ends Up Getting Bitten

New Yorker Steve Nahama tried to flush a snake down the toilet, and ended up bitten instead. The Brooklynite found the serpent in his bathtub on June 19th, and first through it was a worm. However, when he tried to dispose of the creature, it bit one of his fingers. The reptile ended up being a corn snake, which is not venomous. An emergency service unit was able to remove the animal and transport it to a shelter in Queens. It’s suspected that the snake came into Nahama’s apartment through the sewer system. Fortunately, his finger appears to be just fine
