For anyone like myself who has battled weight issues as a child, adult, or both, it's the cruel jokes and comments and bullying that add insult to injury and make it that much harder to over come. Case in point: Oprah Winfrey, who says for 25 years she has been the butt of jokes and cruel comments from some of the best comedians or comedy shows, but the one most hurtful moment came on Fox's "In Living Color."
Even after she wheeled out the red wagon with 67 pounds of fat, signifying the weight she lost following a five month liquid diet during "The Oprah Winfrey Show," she was shamed and embarrassed by what people said about her, made worse by the fact that as soo as she started eating food again, she gained the weight back.
In this video she talks about having been invited to Don Johnson's Christmas party, but admits she was too embarrassed to go feeling she was goo fat. She talks about her health journey and how weight perceptions affected her decisions back then.
Anyone who has had these issues will easily relate to much of what she says. Below is the sketch that she calls "hurtful"
