Can cooking in a teflon pan make you sick?

Across social media, some people are throwing out their non-stick cookware, worried it will give them what's some are calling the Teflon flu. America's Poison Centers says there's been a spike in cases with 267 reports of Teflon flu just last year. Experts say Teflon flu is transmitted when you scrape the bottom of non-stick cookware, which releases potentially harmful chemicals that are inhaled into the body. Premier Food Safety CEO Donny Yoo showed Inside Edition's Victoria Recano how to cook safely with Teflon coated pans.
