This was a close call!
A 53-year-old man in Cocoa, Florida, stole a car from a gas station with a one-year-old child still inside.
The suspect realized the child was in the car before exiting the parking lot and quickly returned the vehicle to the space and apologized to the mother.
Deputies later arrested him, charging him with grand theft and kidnapping, though the suspect claimed he wouldn’t have taken the car if he’d known about the child.
