BLACK BEAR PUNCHED IN THE NOSE AFTER BREAKING INTO HOME

A mom in British Columbia, Canada, was home with her two sons around 5:30 Sunday evening when they saw a large bear enter the residence through a sliding glass door. The adult male bear, estimated to weigh between 220 and 250 pounds, walked through most of the rooms in the house and drooled all over the dining room table. Mom hid in a bedroom with her two sons as a family friend banged on pots to get the bear partially out of the house, but it wasn’t until the friend punched the bear in the nose and slammed the door on it that it actually retreated outside. Once the door was shut the bear began pawing at it. Officers came and managed to shoo the bear away but it returned and tried to open the garage door of the home and then chased a man down the street. After talking with conservation officers, Mounties put the bear down.
