Actress Reneee Zellweger surprises an animal rescue group

What a sweetheart...watch her...

The animal rescue organization Houston Pets Alive has been busy caring for animals, organizing volunteers and comforting owners faced with giving up their pets because they lost their homes to Hurricane Harvey. One recent busy morning after the hurricane struck, someone tapped Pets Alive founder Andrea Birkelbach on the shoulder to tell her something she never imagined she’d hear: “Just so you know, Renee Zellweger is over there cleaning kennels and doing your laundry.” Sure enough, the actress and native Texan was quietly pitching in. Zellweger was at the animal rescue for four days cleaning crates, doing laundry and walking dogs.

… Zellweger had also volunteered for several days with the group’s sister organization Austin Pets Alive. After over a week of volunteering, the actress flew home to Los Angeles with eight dogs she pledged to place in new homes.
